A unique opportunity has emerged for high-calibre mid-to-senior level Quantitative Analysts (“Quants”) that are seeking to move to a more strategic role that involves shaping how trading systems should work from a quantitative perspective.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to trading systems such as Front Arena, as well as experience with market data platforms such as Bloomberg and Reuters. This individual will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and implementing quantitative solutions by understanding complex data flows and system architectures and coordinating the process with senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and processes.
- Analyze current trading workflows, market data feeds, and system configurations.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable system specifications.
- System Design & Implementation
- Design quantitative solutions and workflows that align with business objectives.
- Develop requirements for integrating trading systems (e.g., Front Arena, Murex) with market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
- Ensure end-to-end consistency in system data flows and business logic.
- Market Data Management
- Analyze and validate market data inputs for trading and risk management systems.
- Optimize data consumption from platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Develop strategies to manage market data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Testing and Validation
- Work closely with development teams to test system configurations and ensure adherence to requirements.
- Validate system performance under different scenarios, including live market conditions.
- Identify and resolve issues in system functionality and data consistency.
- Documentation and Communication
- Prepare detailed documentation of data flows, system requirements, and functional designs.
- Provide clear communication to stakeholders on project progress and system changes.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.

Essential Skills
- Trading Systems
- Proficiency with systems like Front Arena, including configuration and integration.
- Market Data Platforms
- Strong familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg API, and Reuters (Refinitiv).
- Quantitative Understanding
- Ability to interpret and manipulate financial data, including pricing, risk metrics, and valuation models.
- Experience in building quantitative models in an investment banking environment .
- Business Analysis
- Proven ability to gather and document complex system requirements.
- System Design
- Experience in designing data flows and integrating multiple systems.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, VBA, or SQL.
- Familiarity with APIs and data exchange formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
- Knowledge of database management systems for querying and analyzing data.
- Exposure to tools for workflow optimization and automation.

Experience
- A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in a quantitative, trading systems, or business analysis role.
- Prior experience working with trading desks, risk management teams, or IT system integrators.
- Exposure to capital markets, derivatives, and structured products is advantageous.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Professional certifications like CFA, FRM, or equivalent are a plus.
